Current NHS consultant posts held

Dr Selvan is a Consultant Rheumatologist at Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Her private practice locations are The Nuffield Hospital in Brentwood, and The Holly Hospital.
She was the Undergraduate Lead for Medical Education at Basildon Hospital for 8 years (2016-2024) and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at University College London. She has completed the Masters in Medical Education at the Royal College of Physicians/ UCL.

Research interests

She is a member of the MRCP Question Writing Group for Rheumatology for Part 1 and Part 2 written examinations, and is on the SCE Rheumatology examination board.

Dr Selvan graduated from Royal Free & University College London Medical School. She undertook her junior doctor training in the Oxford Deanery and gained her consultant CCST qualifications in both Rheumatology and General Medicine in 2015.

Personal interests

She has extensive experience in dealing with a wide range of general rheumatological problems including Osteoporosis, inflammatory arthritis, back pain, Gout, and Fibromyalgia.

Dr Selvan holds private clinics at the following locations:
Holly House, Buckhurst Hill - Tuesday evenings 5.30pm-8pm.
Nuffield Brentwood hospital - Thursdays 12.00pm-4pm.
Spire Hartswood Hospital - Friday evenings 5.30pm-8pm
