Professional Profile
After training posts in General Medicine in Merseyside, I further specialised in Respiratory and General Medicine as a Registrar in Merseyside.
In addition to my routine clinical training, I spent 2 years as a Clinical and Research Fellow at the prestigious Adult CF Unit at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, which is among the largest CF units in the country. During this time, I carried out research into Cystic Fibrosis Related Diabetes, and completed my (Doctoral) MD thesis through the University of Liverpool.
Following completion of my training, I worked as a Consultant in CF, Respiratory and General medicine at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust, one of the largest NHS Trusts in the South-West of England, prior to relocating back to Merseyside.
I am a Respiratory Consultant at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Institute of Infection and Global Health at the University of Liverpool. I have published several scientific articles in Respiratory medicine and continue to be research active.
