About me

I am a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with extensive experience in managing a wide range of respiratory conditions, including complex and chronic diseases. My NHS practice is based at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, one of the UK's leading cardiothoracic centres, where I work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering expert, patient-centred care.

After completing my core medical training in General Medicine, I specialised in Respiratory and General Medicine in Merseyside. I then undertook a two-year Clinical and Research Fellowship at the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital�one of the largest centres of its kind in the UK. My research into Cystic Fibrosis-Related Diabetes led to the award of an MD from the University of Liverpool. I have also held a Consultant post at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Trust before returning to Merseyside to continue my clinical and academic work.

Collaborative Team Approach
I work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive comprehensive and personalised care. This includes:
� Specialist chest physiotherapy for COPD, bronchiectasis, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis and breathing-pattern disorders.
� Advanced lung function testing and respiratory assessments.
� Clinical psychology support for patients with long-term conditions and co-existing mental health needs.
� Specialist chest and cardiac radiology expertise for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Academic and Research Work
I hold an honorary academic appointment at the University of Liverpool's Institute of Infection and Global Health, where I lead and contribute to research into bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, and other chronic respiratory diseases. My work has been published in leading journals and has informed improvements in clinical practice.

� Assessment and management of chronic respiratory conditions
� Lung cancer diagnostics (in collaboration with interventional respiratory colleagues)
� Bronchoscopy and EBUS (in collaboration with interventional respiratory colleagues)
� Respiratory evaluation in sports and high-performance medicine
� Comprehensive lung function testing and CAA testing for respiratory problems


I remain actively involved in research, with a focus on improving outcomes for patients through evidence-based innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration.
