About me

My name is Lynne and my background is in mental health nursing and I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). I am also an Accredited CBT therapist with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
Most of my work now is trauma-based and I use Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant/Supervisor. Please see my website for more information on EMDR. I work remotely only so travel is not an issue. Since the start of Covid, I have worked remotely with excellent results. I use an EMDR platform called Bilateral Base so you can attend therapy from the comfort of your own home anywhere in the UK. I work with people aged 16+.

Areas of interest

My main interest is in trauma and trauma-based disorders including accidents; work-related accidents/injuries; road traffic collisions; traumatic loss; birth trauma; relationship trauma; abuse; anxiety; depression; traumatic loss and grief.
I also use attachment-informed EMDR, which focuses on healing trauma wounds from childhood that are impacting the now and holding you back from the future you want. More recently my training has involved positive psychology/EMDR and Coaching. I integrate CBT and EMDR to gain the best outcomes for my clients.
