About me
I have over 20 years experience working in mental health psychology services both in the NHS and privately. The majority of my career has been spent working with clients experiencing feelings of anxiety and depression which includes a range of problems including: low self esteem, confidence issues, work stress, excessive worry, insomnia, OCD, health anxiety, social anxiety, relationship / dating difficulties, panic attacks and perfectionism.
I have particularly experience supporting professionals who appear to cope well on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed or never quite good enough. I've worked with many people who struggle with overthinking, self criticism or the pressure to keep performing at a high level, often at the expense of their wellbeing.
I completed CBT training at the Institute of Psychiatry and since then have also trained in Behavioural Couples Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and attended multiple CPD events.
I work collaboratively with clients to build a clear understanding of difficulties using an individualised CBT formulation. This maps out what is maintaining the problem and gives us an understanding of what interventions can be helpful.
If you would to arrange an appointment or have a chat about working together please get in touch by email or phone.
