About me

Dr Kingshuk Majumder is a consultant in Gynaecology, Reproductive Medicine and Surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He started his consultant career in Oxford in 2010 and subsequently moved to Manchester. His NHS practice is based at St. Mary’s Hospital, Manchester Foundation Trust. He has trained in advanced laparoscopic surgery in Australia and the UK. His expertise includes assisted conception (IVF) and Neuropelveology (Level 2 certification). He is one of a small group on consultants in the UK and worldwide, who have undergone training in Neuropelveology (Nerve related problems in the pelvis) in Zurich, Switzerland. He started the first Neuropelveology clinic in the North-West at St. Mary’s Hospital, Manchester

Dr Majumder has the following areas of interest: Medical and Surgical management of advanced endometriosis and pelvic pain, Neuropelveology, advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and hysteroscopic (uterine) surgery, reproductive medicine and surgery (infertility), menstrual disorders and general gynaecology.

R Majumder is the clinical lead (2018 onwards) for the North-West pelvic pain and endometriosis centre at St. Mary’s Hospital which is one of the largest tertiary endometriosis referral centres in the UK. He is associated with North-West Gynaecology which provides private gynaecology services encompassing the entire gamut of gynaecologic sub-specialties along with other consultant colleagues.

Dr Majumder is an appraiser to colleagues and supervisor to post-graduate trainees in gynaecology. He is a RCOG accredited preceptor in advanced laparoscopic surgery and offer fellowships to senior gynaecology trainees who wish to pursue a career in advanced laparoscopic surgery. Dr Majumder helps train consultant colleagues in advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Dr Majumder is the principal investigator for clinical trials at St. Mary’s Hospital and has numerous publications on endometriosis in peer reviewed journals.
