About me
Dr Tim Rogers trained at the Institute of Psychiatry, London, and has been a consultant psychiatrist since 2009.
Dr Rogers is a forensic psychiatrist by origin, who completed higher training in psychiatry at the Maudsley Hospital and Institute of Psychiatry in London. He was employed by the North
London Forensic Service for a decade but is now in private practice.
As a part of this, Dr Rogers is one of few psychiatrists to consult to professional sport and elite dance. Dr. Rogers has additional qualifications including a Masters degree with distinction in sport and exercise psychology. He works across the spectrum of mental ill health, mental wellbeing, performance and resilience.
Dr. Rogers was the first UK psychiatrist to be accredited by the International Society for Sports Psychiatry (ISSP).
Dr. Rogers is a specialist member of the Sport Resolutions National Anti-Doping Panel.
Areas of interest
I would tend to see patients over the age of 16.
Conditions treated include: depression; anxiety disorders (OCD, generalised and health anxiety, PTSD); burnout; performance anxiety and choking; ADHD; substance use and gambling disorder; prescription medication dependence; eating disorder (in particular in athletes); psychosis and longer term conditions also.
