About me
A friend once asked me why people come to therapy.
My answer was ‘sometime, there’s nowhere left to go.’
if you’re not sure where to go next, hopefully you’ve come to the right webpage.
I’m a psychotherapist and counsellor specialising in helping people feel better when they're going through a tough patch. Most of us end up there at some stage or another. Feel free to pick up the phone or ask me to call you. We can have a quick chat and I'll see if I can be of help. I don’t charge for an initial phone call. If you’re happy to try an appointment we’ll arrange to see each other within a few days. From that initial meeting you can decide if therapy is for you - and/ or we click. From there I’d normally suggest a series of six meetings. Most major ‘here and now problems’ can be tackled in this period.
During these sessions we’d discuss if further therapy is a good idea to address long-standing stuff that’s upset you for a long time. There’s no hard or fast rule here. Everyone’s history is different.
I specialise in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, career issues and addictive behaviours. I do quite a bit of work with fed-up teenagers who are finding it hard to find their place in the world. I work in schools with pupils who are unhappy and getting into trouble.
I work from a clinic in central London every Monday, and also out of my Oxford clinic Tuesday to Friday where there is plenty of car parking.
I see adults as well as teens.
I also have a particular interest working with sportsmen and women who are underachieving in their sport and work for a football league club.
I host a radio show on this topic on Talksport called ‘on the Sporting Couch’ If you have a passion for sport and want to hear what a session with me might sound like, please google it.
