About me
Mr Enyi Ofo is a fully qualified Consultant Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon whose NHS practice is based at St George’s University and Kingston Hospitals, in South West London. He has also been lead clinician for the combined St George's and Royal Marsden Hospitals Head & Neck and Thyroid Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).
He treats adult and paediatric patients with general ENT conditions, and has a special interest in head and neck surgery, including salivary gland disease (parotid and submandibular gland surgery), voice & swallowing disorders, thyroid & parathyroid surgery, and robotic surgery. Mr Ofo is an experienced thyroid/parathyroid surgeon, performing over 100 thyroid and parathyroid operations each year.
Mr Ofo grew up in South London, and studied Medicine at University College London, graduating in 2000. He won several undergraduate and postgraduate prizes, including best overall intercalated Neuroscience BSc student, best BSc project, and ENT UK best national clinical audit project.
He attained Otolaryngology (ENT) higher surgical training in London, where he spent time at internationally renowned institutions such as Guy's & St Thomas’ and Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. He was also able to undertake PhD research at Kings College London, supported by over £350,000 of competitive funding. His research has been presented at national and international medical conferences, and resulted in several journal publications.
Mr Ofo received advanced head and neck surgery training during two prestigious fellowships at: Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital London, and the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia. Whilst in Australia, Mr Ofo was one of the first head and neck surgeons from the United Kingdom to obtain 12 months of dedicated robotic surgery fellowship experience, following which he led the surgical team at St George’s Hospital London to perform their first robotic head and neck cancer operation in April 2015.
