About me
Mr Barkatali is a Consultant Specialist Knee Surgeon with extensive expertise across all areas of knee surgery. In 2017, he established The Knee Clinic Manchester with the aim of delivering the highest standard of care to patients requiring knee procedures. Working alongside a team of highly trained anaesthetists and medical professionals, the clinic is driven by a commitment to world-class, cutting-edge treatment and exceptional patient outcomes.
Over the course of his career, Mr Barkatali has performed thousands of successful procedures, consistently achieving outstanding clinical results and receiving excellent patient feedback. His specialist interests include sports-related knee injuries, knee replacement surgery, joint preservation techniques (such as osteotomy), patello-femoral disorders, and biological treatments including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and cartilage regeneration.

Mr Barkatali's surgical philosophy is founded on teamwork, clear communication, and consistently high standards. He is dedicated to tissue preservation and anatomical restoration, with a strong focus on functional recovery and enhanced rehabilitationenabling patients to return to their desired level of activity safely and efficiently. He is committed to delivering an exceptional patient journey from initial consultation through to full recovery, integrating innovative technologies and personalised care pathways to support long-term joint health.

Mr Barkatali graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical School and taught anatomy at the University of Oxford before completing his surgical training through the Manchester Orthopaedic Training Programme.
