Dr Okoye has been working as a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist in an independent hospital since 2016. Prior to this, Dr Okoye worked in the NHS for almost 8 years as a Consultant Psychiatrist, within various community and inpatient psychiatric, generic and specialist settings.
Dr Okoye has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating conditions such as: -

� Post traumatic stress disorders (PTSD)
� Anxiety disorders, such as Agoraphobia, social
phobia, and other kinds of phobias,

Dr Okoye has extensive Medicolegal experience, e.g. providing medicolegal reports (including Neuropsychiatric reports) and in respect of criminal and civil cases, for solicitors; Law courts (including Court of Protection); Case Managers (for people with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Autism, Huntington disease, etc); Occupational health; DVLA; Insurance firms; etc, .
Dr Okoye's medicolegal expertise entails providing an expert witness service in relation to the following types of criminal and civil court cases: clinical negligence; personal injury; fitness-to-plea; culpability; Mental Health Review Tribunal review of civil and criminal sections of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity; disposal options; risk management; prognosis; treatment recommendations; etc
