About me
I am a Consultant Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon in Birmingham and I strive to provide the highest quality, safe surgical care with an individualised approach to my patients’ needs and expectations. I am in the GMC specialist register for Plastic Surgery and a full member of the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
I specialise in cosmetic surgery of the breast and body including breast uplift surgery, breast reduction, breast augmentation, male breast reduction (surgery for gynaecomastia), fat transfer, abdominoplasty and body contouring procedures. I also perform ear plastic surgery including ear pinning, split ear lobe correction, as well as liposuction procedures including abdominal and thigh liposuction, fat transfer, scar revision, as well as mole, skin lesion and cyst removal.
I undertook all my general surgical and advanced Plastic Surgery training in the UK.
I have a PhD degree awarded by the University of Sheffield for my three year clinical research work on malignant melanoma. I completed a six year specialist training programme in Plastic Surgery at South Manchester University Hospital and the Christie Hospital, the largest cancer centre in Europe, acquiring skills in breast and skin cancer reconstructive surgery.
I completed a 12 month specialist breast reconstruction fellowship at City Hospital, Birmingham and subsequently spent a further six months on a prestigious fellowship on microsurgical reconstruction of the breast at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Canada, one of the largest centres for microsurgery in North America.
In 2011 I was appointed to my first NHS Consultant post in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. I moved to City Hospital, Birmingham in 2012 where I was appointed as a full time Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a specialist interest in breast reconstruction.
Since July 2017, I offer plastic aesthetic surgery exclusively in the private sector.
