About me
Professor Kyrgiou is a Professor at Imperial College London and a consultant gynaecologist and gynaecologic oncology surgeon. She has trained in obstetrics and gynaecology and subsequently specialised in advanced minimal access surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy) for complex benign disease and gynaecologic oncology at the West London Gynaecological Cancer Centre at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
She completed a masters of science in advanced gynaecological endoscopy at the University of Surrey and a doctorate thesis in ovarian cancer chemotherapy.
Dr Kyrgiou has expertise in general gynaecology, minimal access surgery and gynaecology oncology. Her main clinical interest is general gynaecology, colposcopy/vulvoscopy, cancer prevention, ovarian masses/cysts, gynaecologic oncology, fertility-sparing surgery for gynaecological malignancies, endometriosis, fibroids, menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, rapid access services for suspected cancer, early pregnancy and surgery for benign and (pre) cancerous gynaecological conditions.
