About me

Mrs Gordon-Bennett is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal surgeon at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Southlands Hospital, St Richards Hospital), The Nuffield Chichester, Panacea Medical and Goring Hall BMI Hospital. Her subspecialty interests are retinal detachment, macular hole, macular epiretinal membrane, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular occlusion and cataract. She is also the Clinical Lead for the West Sussex Diabetic Eye screening Program. Among the many roles she performs at the Western Sussex Hospitals are Laser Clinical Expert and Clinical training.
Mrs Gordon-Bennett completed her ophthalmology training in Cambridge in 2013 as Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, London. She then completed 2 Vitreoretinal fellowships in Birmingham Midland Eye Centre and Leicester Royal Infirmary in 2015. She possesses a wealth of experience in Ophthalmology having worked in a number of hospitals across the UK and also in Jamaica.
She has published on a range of topics in Ophthalmology, including central serous chorioretinopathy, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and endophthalmitis.
Mrs Gordon-Bennett enjoys exercise, cycling, music, singing harmony and playing the piano.
