About me
Dr Louise Langman is a clinical psychologist who has chartered status with the British Psychological Society and registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
She has more than twenty years experience of supporting children and adults through a wide range of psychological difficulties in order to achieve optimal health.
She has supported teams across a variety of community and inpatient settings, in the UK and USA; within the NHS, private and voluntary sectors and is accredited in a number of therapeutic approaches.
By drawing on a range of psychological models (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), Compassion-focused therapy (CFT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Dr Langman can tailor a bespoke therapy for the individual, couple or family who are experiencing distress and who wish to live a bigger life.
Dr Langman is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She is keen to demystify psychology and promotes psychological understanding through public engagement events.

Dr Langman supports individuals and families in coping with psychological difficulties across the life span.
Most commonly she helps people to make sense of their experiences and find the psychological tools to cope more effectively.
She is experienced in working with stress and low mood, anger difficulties, workplace stress and burnout, relationship difficulties, gender dysphoria, eating disorders, loss and bereavement, low self-esteem and adjustment following significant life events, including serious ill health and disability.
