About me
Dr Kemp completed his training in London and now works at the Royal Brompton Hospital as a Consultant Physician with a special interest in lung cancer and interventional bronchoscopy. He completed an MD on bronchoscopic lung volume reduction in severe emphysema at the Royal Brompton Hospital, before taking up a Consultant post in the East Midlands. Having set up an interventional bronchoscopy service at King's Mill Hospital, including lung volume reduction, airway debulking, and endobronchial ultrasound (for mediastinal lymph nodes and peripheral nodules), he moved to the Royal Brompton Hospital in 2015.
Clinical and research interests include developing new advanced bronchoscopic techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, and interventions for severe emphysema and airways disease. He also has an interest in respiratory physiology, particularly with respect to extreme environments (altitude, diving).
