About me

Dr Moiz Moghal is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise & Musculoskeletal Medicine appearing on the GMC Specialist Register.

Having obtained his primary medical degree from the University of Sheffield, Dr Moghal completed General Practice Vocational Training in the London Deanery in 2011 before going on to complete Higher Specialist Training In Sport & Exercise Medicine at the Oxford Deanery in 2015. He also completed an MSc in Sports Medicine, Exercise & Health at University College London in 2014 and is currently a Fellow of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine.

Dr Moghal has a broad range of experience treating general musculoskeletal conditions and physical activity related injuries in the NHS from his time as a Consultant at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. His principal role currently is as the Lead Physician for the England Senior Men's Cricket Team. He was until recently the Chief Medical Officer for GB & England Hockey culminating in being part of the team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He has previously worked in Premiership Football, working for Southampton Football Club,Hampshire County Cricket Club and for British Athletics. He has experience working across a range of Olympic and Paralympic Sports and has attended two Paralympic Games and a Commonwealth Games.

Dr Moghal offers expert advice in the management of musculoskeletal conditions affecting any age as well as physical activity related injuries, both acute and chronic, in both elite and recreational athletes.
