About me

I qualified from Trinity Hall, Cambridge and the Middlesex Hospital in 1982. I trained in Neurology at The National Hospital , Queen Square and L'Hopital Kremlin Bicetre, Paris. I have been a Consultant Neurologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the National Hospital for Neurology since 1997. I am now one of the senior neurologists at the National Hospital for Neurology, Queen Square, London. I am Chief Author and editor of the Oxford Handbook of Neurology which is used by neurology trainees and Consultants worldwide as a practical textbook for diagnosing and managing neurology patients.The third edition is now in preparation. My most recent book publication last year was "Cases of Neuromuscular Disorders from Queen Square - editors Hadi Manji, Matt Evans and Chris Turner" I have also published widely on general neurology, peripheral nerve and neurological infectious disorders. I visit and teach overseas regularly in particular Kenya and Mozambique.
