About me
I completed my basic surgical training in Derriford Hospital and obtained my MRCS degree from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2001. I gained my Specialist training on the Southwest Orthopaedic specialist training rotation and worked in Truro, Torbay, Plymouth and Exeter before obtaining my FRCS Tr& Orth from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Having developed an interest in Primary and Revision Joint Replacements and the treatment of periprosthetic fractures, I furthered my surgical experience by completing Arthroplasty fellowships in Llandough Hospital, Cardiff and in Derriford Hospital. I was a Locum consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Derriford for 12 months and then Locum consultant in the Arthroplasty team in The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital, Oswestry, for a year. I was appointed to my substantive consultant post in Derriford Hospital in March 2013. I started my private practice in the Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital in November 2014.
Areas of interest
Hip disorders, hip replacements and hip revision surgery.
