About us
I have been a consultant general surgeon in Aberdeen for 20 years. I graduated from Edinburgh University and gained surgical training in Edinburgh and Hong Kong before undertaking a thesis at the Rowett Institute and completing higher surgical training in Aberdeen. I was awarded the Cuthbertson prize for his MD thesis and the inaugural James IV Professorship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. I have a particular interest in upper gastrointestinal and laparoscopic surgery and have spent time in Europe and the USA learning the latest endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques.
