Mr Yazan Masannat is an award-winning Consultant Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon specialising in the assessment and treatment of breast symptoms, benign breast conditions and breast cancer.

His NHS practice is based at Broomfield Hospital, part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. He provides private consultations in London and Essex at The London Clinic, 108 Harley Street, LIPS Healthcare at Battersea Power Station, The Cromwell Hospital, BUPA Centra and LYCA Health Canary Wharf and Springfield Hospital in Chelmsford.

Mr Masannat provides rapid one-stop breast assessment for patients presenting with breast lumps, breast pain, nipple discharge, breast infections, changes in the breast or armpit, screening concerns and suspected breast cancer. Where appropriate, consultation, breast imaging and biopsy can be coordinated during the same visit.

Mr Masannat combines cancer surgery with advanced reconstructive and plastic-surgical techniques. His approach focuses on achieving effective cancer treatment while preserving or restoring breast shape wherever clinically appropriate. He works closely with specialist radiologists, oncologists, pathologists and plastic surgeons to provide coordinated, personalised multidisciplinary care.

He is a Visiting Associate Professor at Anglia Ruskin University. He serves as Meetings Secretary and a Trustee of the Association of Breast Surgery and is a member of the International Committee of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Mr Masannat has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers and has contributed to national and international breast-surgery research, guidelines and professional education. He received a National Clinical Excellence Award in 2025 in recognition of his contribution to clinical care, research, education and professional leadership.

He is the Founder and Editor of iBreastBook, a free international educational resource providing webinars, surgical education and expert teaching in breast cancer, oncoplastic breast surgery and reconstruction.
