About me

Mr Youseef is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, with particular expertise in primary and revision joint replacement, complex reconstruction, and periprosthetic joint infection. He treats patients with hip and knee arthritis, failed joint replacements, infection following surgery, and complex joint disorders, using advanced surgical techniques and personalised treatment plans.

Mr Youseef is known for his meticulous surgical technique, evidence?based decision?making, and compassionate patient care. He works closely with each patient to ensure they fully understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery pathway, with the aim of relieving pain, restoring mobility, and improving long?term quality of life.

Education & Specialist Training
Mr Youseef graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2002 and went on to complete his Higher Surgical Training on the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme, based at the internationally recognised Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.

He further developed his subspecialist expertise through a dedicated one?year Hip and Knee Fellowship at the Centre for Hip Surgery, Wrightington Hospital, a nationally designated centre of excellence for orthopaedic surgery and joint replacement.

In addition to his UK training, Mr Youseef has gained valuable international experience as a visiting fellow and observer at leading global institutions, including: Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, the Holland Arthritis Centre in Toronto and St John's Hospital in Los Angeles. These experiences have strengthened his expertise in advanced arthroplasty, revision surgery, and complex joint reconstruction.

Mr Youseef has a strong specialist interest in managing complex and high?risk orthopaedic conditions, including: Primary hip and knee replacement surgery; Revision (redo) hip and knee arthroplasty
Treatment of infection around hip and knee replacements; Complex hip and knee disorders requiring custom?made implants; Advanced reconstructive surgery for failed joint replacements & Arthroscopic ("keyhole") knee surgery.
