About me
Dr Gurumurthy completed her training in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK where she then went on to do sub-specialisation in Gynaecological oncology in 2012.
She specialises in the field of gynaecological cancers and regularly sees women with suspected gynaecological cancer and pre-cancerous lesions.
She is also an accredited colposcopist and sees women with abnormal cervical smears and vulval conditions.
She has trained in robotics surgery and has played an important role in introducing robotics surgery in Gynaecological Oncology in North East Scotland.
She performs complex laparoscopic and open surgeries for women with gynaecological problems and undertakes advanced laparoscopic surgery for cervical cancer.
She also sees patient with benign ovarian cysts and fibroids and management by laparoscopic route.
