About me

Mr Ahad graduated from Barts and London School of Medicine. He went onto develop a keen interest in Trauma and Orthopaedics. On gaining Membership of the Royal College of Surgeon Mr Ahad was appointed as a spinal fellow at Barts and London NHS trust. His research with Queen Mary and Westfield resulted in several publications and presentation.
Mr Ahad went onto higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the NE Thames rotation working in hospitals throughout NE London and Essex,
including 2 years at prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore.
He was appointed as a Consultant at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS trust in 2009 where he was instrumental in developing the trauma service particularly revision surgery following peri-prosthetic fractures around the hip.
The position gave him the opportunity to teach and run several courses for trainees.
His current appointment is Consultant Orthopaedic and Medical Director at Practice Plus Group ,the largest independent organisation treating NHS patients in the country. This has given him an excellent opportunity to maintain the highest quality, make changes and drive research in Health Care. His role also includes chair of Equality and Diversity Committee PPG in primary and secondary care including health in justice.
