About me

I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 17 years' experience of working in the NHS. I have worked in a variety of different services, settings and areas of clinical interest. For more than 8 years I worked in physical health services, particularly within Cancer Services. More recently, I worked in Acute Mental Health Services.

I believe that mental, emotional and physical health are interrelated and can never be fully separated: I treat the individual as a whole. I am interested in the long-term, effective management - and prevention - of physical and mental health conditions. Having completed additional Nutrition and Functional Medicine training in the last 3 years, I now work fully privately, in order to better achieve these aims.

I have a strong interest in a number of different psychological therapies and approaches, particularly Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (or ACT: see I can integrate ACT with other models if needed, depending on individual preferences. The best long-term interests of the client are always front and centre of any tailored interventions we might agree to.
