I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor with 16 years experience as a counsellor/psychotherapist. I have worked for a number of agencies including Thurrock MIND and the Havering Bereavement Centre, but now I work privately at GP practices in Upminster, Hornchurch and Romford in Essex. I see patients with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), bereavement, self esteem issues, physical health issues, work related problems including redundancy and harassment, and relationship difficulties. I also see couples for joint and individual counselling.
My initial training was Humanistic (predominantly Person Centred) but over the years I have incorporated other theoretical models into my work including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I have experience in short term and long term therapy.
