About me
Mr Rahmanou has extensive background and training in urogynaecology, minimal access pelvic floor reconstruction and general obstetrics and gynaecology.
His main focus is on minimal access laparoscopic or “keyhole” surgical techniques to treat a wide range of gynaecological problems.
Mr Rahmanou also offers uterus preserving surgery (hysteropexy) to women with prolapse as an alternative to hysterectomy as well as non-mesh prolapse and continence surgery.
Having graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1997, most of his postgraduate obstetrics and gynaecology training was at the Northwest London Deanery. Following this he undertook higher specialist training at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford in urogynaecology; advanced training in laparoscopic “keyhole” pelvic floor reconstructive surgery and laparoscopic benign gynaecological surgery.
Mr Rahmanou is currently working in a multidisciplinary team, providing service in treatment of female lower urinary tract symptoms including urinary incontinence, genital prolapse and obstetric injuries. He is also providing treatment for general gynaecological problems such as menstrual disorders.
