About me

Therapy is all about you - what you need, your choices, your thoughts and feelings. I put you front and centre of our work together. I have a real passion for my counselling work and provide a professional, informed, effective and ethical practice to clients - Find You...Be You Counselling.

I work with adults, couples, and young people from the age of 17yrs - helping to raise awareness and understanding, while offering a supportive environment. By working at your pace with a strong therapeutic relationship, together we can work towards you making changes in your life and/or help you understand yourself more. I am here to listen to your story and work with you to help you look at the choices you have.

All initial sessions are free whether I am meeting an individual, a couple or young person. During this session we can discuss what brings you to counselling at this time - and your thoughts on the outcome of counselling. I will also discuss the practicalities of the sessions. This meeting gives us an opportunity to see if we can work together.

When you read information published by counsellors - I imagine that it becomes difficult to separate us from each other and make a choice. What makes me different? I have had several professions - working as a teacher, a police officer and for over 13 years working in Public Relations at a senior level with blue chip companies - before re-training as a counsellor. I have specialist qualifications and/or experience in counselling children and young people as well as couples and supervision and now in EMDR. And I have been named as Leading Specialist in Children's Counselling by Global Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals and I have previously been elected to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Board - 62,000 members
