About me

Each one of us is a unique individual, and I welcome those from any culture, belief system, religious background or tyype of difference. You will be listened to carefully, valued and not judged. I am always willing to learn from my clients.

Because a good 'fit' is important between therapist and client, I offer a brief 15-minute chat to discuss what you might need from therapy before we commit to working together. After an Assessment session, we agree on the focus of our work and how you prefer to approach this.

As a practitioner Psychologist, Counsellor, CBT therapist and Couple & Relationship therapist, I work with many common psychological problems, both in the workplace and in relationships, and with those with young children. I am also a Clinical Supervisor for other therapists.

I have worked for many years across a variety of settings, including the NHS (and in eating disorders), with those who have experieced trauma as adults or in childhood (including the effects of abuse), with bereavement and in the workplace. I have also worked online at Kooth.com.

My medical abckground as a nurse and midwife is often useful for those who have experienced illness, or hospital trauma.

I offer in-person appointments in Stockport on Mondays and Tuesdays at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm and 8pm. Appointments are weekly at first and then may move to fortnightly. I have a small number of Zoom appointments available in the daytime.
