About me
Emma Hunter graduated from Kings College London University in 2004 with an MSc Physiotherapy. Since specialising in muscukloskeletal physiotherapy she has worked as a senior physiotherapist in both the private sector and in one of Londons top teaching hospitals.
Working as a senior physiotherapist involves advanced treatment of a range of acute and chronic conditions; including peripheral and spinal problems, sport related injuries and post-op orthopaedic and spinal rehabilitation. Emma has worked with a range of amateur sports persons; including footballers, cyclists and distance runners. Her aim when working in rehabilitation with these clients is to return them safely to their sport and to prevent the reoccurrence of their problem by taking them through all the stages of the rehab process in additional to addressing their individual needs.
Emma has a vast range of specialist post graduate training, including Womens Health, a specialism that is accredited by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Womens Health. This allows Emma to treat those who present with pregnancy related musculoskeletal problems as well as women suffering from bladder and pelvic floor problems. This treatment covers both antenatal and post natal problems associated with pregancy and/or childbirth, gynaecological problems such as stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder or pelvic organ prolapse.
Emma is a member of and is accredited by the following organisations:
Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
Manipulative Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP)
Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP)
Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute instructor (APPI)
The extensive training and accreditation combined with the vast clinical experience Emma has achieved results in the provision of a diverse approach to your treatment and rehabilitation no matter what the complaint.
