About me
Mr Jones studied medicine at Leeds University Medical School and went on to complete both basic and higher surgical training in the Yorkshire region. He completed the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Tr and Orth) in 2011 and was admitted on to the Specialist Register in 2012. During his training he obtained a Master of Science degree (MSc) within the field of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery.
He has undertaken two specialist fellowships within Yorkshire.The first was in Harrogate with Mr Nick London concentrating on all aspects of knee surgery. The second fellowship was in York with Mr Nick Carrington and Mr Tony Maury focussing on hip arthroplasty and revision surgery.
He completed his specialist training with a year long fellowship at the world renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford where he gained experience in all aspects of hip and knee surgery.
Mr Jones is a keen teacher and is actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He holds Senior Lecturer status at the University of Leeds.
