About me
Mrs Maria Vella is a Consultant Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in urogynaecology, incontinence and prolapse who qualifed in 1999. She completed most of her training in obstetrics and gynaecology in and around London. During this time she obtained her membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
She then went on to complete a two year research fellowship in urogynaecology with Professor Linda Cardozo at Kings College Hospital, London followed by a three year subspecialty program in urogynaecology also at King's College Hospital.
Areas of interest
I am subspecialty trained in urogynaecology. This means my main area of interest is the treatment of women with urogenital prolapse and urinary incontinence.
I also treat women with general gynaecology problems including menstrual disorders, pelvic pain and benign ovarian cysts.
