About me

I am a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in the Newcastle Breast Centre, Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. I qualified from Newcastle Medical School in 2001 with Distinction and completed the majority of my surgical training in the North-East. I spent 12 months as a national TIG Oncoplastic Fellow in Sheffield in 2011-12. I have a strong interest in clinical research and am Principal Investigator in 3 NIHR portfolio studies. I am a teaching faculty member for the Royal College of Surgeons level 1 Oncoplastic course, National TIG fellow cadaveric course, Regional Higher Surgical Trainees course and the Association of Breast Surgery Trainees Annual Meeting. I live in Newcastle with my wife and 3 children and love playing and watching sport.
