About me
Dr William Rea FRCP FRCA FFPMRCA is a Consultant in Anaesthesia & Pain Medicine. He currently works as an NHS Consultant at both the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham and Gloucester Hospitals NHS Trust. He is interested in regional anaesthesia and teaching.
Areas of interest
Dr Rea is an expert in the management of chronic pain conditions such as low back pain, CRPS, fibromyalgia, Chronic Post-Surgical Pain and Neuropathic Pain.
Dr Rea carries out a number of pain procedures including Pudendal Nerve procedures; SIJ Radiofrequency and Radiofrequency Denervation for Joint Pain.
He has a special interest in abdominal and pelvic pain. He has worked in a national referral service for pelvic pain at UCLH in London and also worked in a multidisciplinary pelvic floor service at University Hospitals Birmingham as well as the Birmingham Women's Hospital Endometriosis Service.
