About me
Mr Hunt qualified from University College London Medical School in 1998. Whilst there her undertook an additional year off study and gained a BSc in Medical Physics and Bioengineering.
Mr Hunt trained in the Southwest in all aspects of general surgery before specialising in breast surgery. His training includes techniques for breast conservation and breast reconstruction where appropriate using both implants of autologous techniques (using the patient’s own tissue) and also contralateral surgery for symmetrisation after breast cancer surgery.
He worked as consultant breast surgeon to the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust prior his appointment as Consultant breast Surgeon in Cheltenham in 2013.
He has a particular interest in multidisciplinary working, meaning different specialists are involved in different areas of patient care. For example, at a patient’s assessment appointment, if they require mammograms or scans, these will be undertaken by a radiologist with a specialist interest in breast imaging. The aim is to undertake assessment in one visit - the 'one stop clinic'
