About me
I have the expertise to perform a wide variety of E.N.T procedures including the common ones like tonsillectomy, removal of adenoids and insertion of grommets. I have a special interest in nose and sinus surgery and I have a wide experience with advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, including endoscopic removal of nasal and sinus tumours. Moreover, I have special expertise in endoscopic surgery of skull base disorders; I manage some of these disorders on my own, and some in collaboration with fellow neurosurgeons. I also have a wide experience in rhinoplasty and septorhinoplasty (nasal reshaping procedures) and surgical procedures to correct nasal blockage.
I live in Chelmsford, Essex, with my wife and 3 children.
I was born in Egypt and graduated from Alexandria University in 1994 with a grade “excellent with honours”. I had few years of E.N.T training at Alexandria Main University Hospital and was subsequently appointed as a lecturer in Alexandria University. I moved to the U.K in 2004 to complete my M.D thesis. I had few more years of E.N.T training in the U.K and completed two advanced fellowships in surgery of the nose and the sinuses. I was appointed as a consultant at BHR University Hospitals in February 2013. In 2014, I spent 6 weeks visiting a world class E.N.T centre of excellence in Italy.
