About me

Professional Profile

I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon, since 2013 and also practise at Peterborough City Hospital. I specialise in shoulder and elbow surgery, with a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of painful, stiff and unstable shoulders.

My private practice serves patients across Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire, with consultations and treatment available at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital, Cambridge; Blakelands Hospital, Milton Keynes; Pinehill Hospital, Hitchin; and Woodland Hospital, Kettering.

My shoulder practice includes the treatment of rotator cuff tears, frozen shoulder, shoulder pain and impingement, recurrent shoulder dislocation and instability, acromioclavicular (AC) joint injuries and shoulder arthritis.

I perform arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilisation, primary AC joint repair and reconstruction, and both anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacement.

My elbow practice includes the treatment of tennis and golfer's elbow, cubital tunnel syndrome, elbow stiffness and early to moderate elbow arthritis.

I also treat common hand conditions including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and Dupuytren's contracture, as well as upper-limb trauma.

I completed my specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in India and the UK and obtained my FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2007.

In 2013, I completed an advanced Shoulder and Elbow Surgery Fellowship at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Southmead Hospital, Bristol. I am also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Alongside my clinical practice, I remain actively involved in research, surgical education and training. I have published extensively in national and international peer-reviewed orthopaedic journals and have presented my research at national and international meetings.

I serve as an MRCS Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England, examining in the UK and internationally.
I am also a member of the Orthopaedic Data Evaluation Panel (ODEP) Shoulder Committee, contributing to the independent evaluation of evidence supporting the performance of shoulder replacement implants.
In addition, I participate in national recruitment for Trauma and Orthopaedic surgical training.

My approach is to provide patients with a clear understanding of their diagnosis and treatment options and to tailor treatment to their individual needs, including non-operative treatment wherever appropriate.

Personal Profile

I am married with two daughters and speak both English and Hindi. Outside medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, travelling and listening to music.

Areas of interest

Shoulder Surgery:
I have a particular interest in managing painful, stiff, and dislocating shoulders. I perform arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgeries for conditions such as rotator cuff tendon tears, shoulder dislocations, recurrent instability, and reconstruction of dislocated acromioclavicular joints. Additionally, I have experience with both anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacements.
