About me
I am aware that choosing a therapist that is right for you is an important process. I aim to work collaboratively so that you feel understood and supported. I am humanistic, non judgemental and supportive. This, I hope, will give you the confidence to express sometimes difficult and sensitive information.
Being an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist is your guarantee that I maintain a high level of professionalism and clinical practice. I am aware that in today's society there is a lot of stress put on us to achieve all of our goals, be a good parent and partner and still have time to pursue hobbies, interests and see friends and family, not to mention our work commitment.
Gaining this balance can be tough and impact on our mood as well as our close relationships. In order to encompass the whole person's life experience, I also incorporate the approaches of mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy and compassionate focused techniques. All of these help us to minimize stress and worry that can lead to other difficulties and sometimes depression.
We will work together to build goals towards your values to ensure that you get the most out of your therapy sessions.
