About me
I trained in Scotland and London before taking up a post as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Barts Hospital in 1992.
I have developed skull base surgery and introduced endoscopic techniques for pituitary tumours.
I underwent training in stereotactic radiosurgery in Pittsburgh, Stockholm, Marseille and California and am currently the Medical Director of the London Gamma Knife Centre, now based at the Wellington Hospital.
In addition I have a general neuro-oncology interest and have also adopted minimally invasive procedures to deal with lumbar disc prolapse as well as having extensive experience of cervical spine disorders
Areas of interest
Neuro-oncology including Gamma Knife Radiosurgery;
Skull Base Surgery (acoustic neuroma, meningioma, pituitary surgery);
Trigeminal neuralgia;
Cervical spine surgery;
Minimally invasive lumbar spine surgery.
