About me

I am a consultant clinical psychologist with over 20 years experience working in the NHS. My area of expertise is with adults who are experiencing mental health problems. I have extended experience in depression, anxiety disorders and bipolar affective disorder and have written numerous journal articles on these topics. I have also written two book chapters; one on depression and, one on dementia. I previously ran the psychology service within the National Affective Disorders Unit at the Maudsley Hospital and was a clinical academic at the Institute of Psychiatry I have a particular interest in how challenges during childhood can emerge during adolescence and adulthood as problems with anxiety and/or low mood.
