About me
Dr Mannath is a consultant gastroenterologist working at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust and he was appointed in 2011. He has done his core medical training in Merseyside, obtaining MRCP (UK) in 2003. Following this he undertook higher specialist training in Gastroenterology at West Midlands and was awarded Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and MRCP (Gastro) in 2011. Since his appointment as consultant, he was actively involved in management role and was the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy at the University Hospital Coventry from 2012 to 2020.
Dr Mannath undertook research in the field of advanced endoscopy and Barrett's oesophagus at University of Nottingham in 2008 and was awarded Doctorate in Medicine (DM). His primary research interest includes Barrett's oesophagus, and he has published several peer reviewed papers in international journals.
Dr Mannath has a keen interest teaching and training. He is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Warwick Medical School and delivers regular clinical teaching to medical students. He also has keen interest endoscopy training and is actively involved in training registrars in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He was the endoscopy training lead at University Hospital Coventry from 2020 to 2023. He also teaches in various European courses in the field of endoscopy.
Dr Mannath can offer a comprehensive Gastroenterology service including outpatient consultation and endoscopy at The Meriden Hospital. He has a special interest in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy apart from his interest in general gastroenterology. He can speak English, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi.
