About me
I am the lead clinician for oncology, laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and robotic surgery services at Bedford Hospital and a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with 24 years experience.
I completed my advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery training in Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals and have since introduced the advanced laparoscopic surgery and operative hysteroscopy techniques to Bedford and Manor BMI Hospitals. I have advanced skills in managing endometriosis and currently providing the advanced endometriosis surgery across Bedford and Luton Hospitals.
I run the heavy mensural bleeding and colposcopy clinics at Bedford and I act as mentor to other consultants during the laparoscopy and colposcopy training.
I practice a holistic style of gynaecology and provide detailed and comprehensive information that empowers my patients to make an informed decision about their own particular circumstances
Areas of interest
I am specialise in gynaecological cancers, advanced laparoscopic surgery, hysteroscopy and colposcopy, although I retain a broad range of fundamental gynaecology skills that include medical and surgical management of menstrual disorders, endometriosis, fibroids and pelvic pain.
I am very interested in medical education and frequently organise lectures, small groups and workshops for fellow peers / professionals
I have also published numerous articles in various medical journals.
Away from the office I am a keen swimmer and Tennis player and I enjoy spending time with my family.
