About me

Mr Alex Chung qualified as a doctor (BSc, MB BS) from University College London in 1999. His main research was on bowel function in spinal cord injury, performed at St Mark’s Hospital and at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and he was awarded his Medical Doctorate (MD) by The University of London in 2010. He is a specialist in colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease with an expertise in laparoscopic surgery. He undertook higher surgical training in The South West Thames London Region. His training has included time at St George’s Hospital, The Royal Surrey County Hospital (laparoscopic centre of excellence). A post training Fellowship at St Thomas’ Hospital cemented his interests and training. He has published on general surgical, colorectal and bowel disorders.
