Training and background
Dr Sidwell holds a consultant NHS post in West Herts NHS Trust, Hertfordshire, and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Royal Society of Medicine.
Dr Sidwell has published numerous clinical papers, and case studies and published several medical textbooks, including both undergraduate and post graduate level.
Dermatology Training and Specialisation
Dr Sidwell received her medical degree from Bristol University Medical School, Bristol. She undertook general medical and paediatric training, obtaining her membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, and Paediatrics and Child Health. She completed her dermatology specialist training in London, in the Chelsea and Westminster and Charing Cross Hospitals.
At West Herts NHS Trust where she holds a Consultant Post she has clinics in General Dermatology, Paediatric Dermatology, Vulval Dermatology and Skin Surgery.
Active in Dermatology Education
Dr Sidwell has an interest in medical education, and is author of several medical textbooks including at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is also involved in dermatology specialist registrar and GP teaching within the clinical setting, and she teaches annually on the St Johns Institute/Royal College of Physicians Genital Dermatology course.
