About me
Dr Anila George is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years post qualification experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She is registered with the British Psychological Society and the Health Care Professionals Council.
Dr George has a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy and is a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. In addition she is a trained EMDR Therapist
She is highly experienced in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties affecting children, adolescents, and adults. She is skilled in helping people who are experiencing stress, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, depression and disordered eating. Her treatment approach is predominantly Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, but she is flexible in the use of other evidence based treatments, such as ACT and EMDR and will integrate these as suitable to the particular needs of the individual or family. She is also able to advise parents on parenting in the context of children and adolescents with behaviour problems.
Dr George has specialist experience in Neuro developmental disorders such as Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Eating Disorders. She was recently the Team Lead & Lead Therapist for the Community Eating Disorder Team for Children and Young People in Central London.

Dr George has extensive teaching experience. She is currently an Honorary Lecturer at University College London leading the Module on Assessment and Planning Clinical Interventions. She offers clinical supervision and training to a variety of health professionals. Dr George also runs workshops for a number of well respected Secondary Schools as part of their PSHE curriculum.
