What I can offer you
Over the last nineteen years I have gained valuable therapeutic experience across a wide client base whilst working for the NHS, Occupational Health department and also MIND mental health charity. I have also been employed as a counsellor in Higher Education. I have provided short term therapy for IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy) working in partnership with GP surgeries.
More recently I have worked with uniform services raising awareness about mental health issues in the workplace. I am aware of the challenges when working in such roles and the impact of witnessing traumatic incidents/events stress and anxiety plus organisational issues/constraints.
I also work with Breast Cancer Care supporting groups of women living with a secondary diagnoses www.breastcancercare.org.uk. I have a vast amount of insight and knowledge in relation to the diagnoses of cancer and the physical and psychological impact this has.
I also undertake regular supervision with a UKCP accredited Supervisor to ensure that best practice can be adhered to in all of my therapeutic work.

These demands may include daunting work pressures, anxiety, bereavement, painful relationship dynamics, bereavement, divorce, separation and stress.
I offer warmth, compassion, hope, guidance and heightened awareness to allow you to feel more able to manage life's challenges with new coping strategies.
I feel privileged to be part of the counselling profession, and would feel honoured to accompany you on your own personal voyage of self-discovery.

I currently work for Breast Cancer Care providing psychological support for women living with a secondary breast cancer diagnoses. (www.breastcancercare.org.uk) I have a vast amount of insight and knowledge in relation to the diagnoses of cancer and the psychological impact this has.
Within my NHS role I work in a mental health setting so I’m well aware of the challenges of working on the front line.
