I offer face to face counselling sessions or virtual sessions

What I can offer you

Over the last twenty one years I have gained valuable therapy experience across a wide client base whilst working for the NHS, Occupational Health department and Police/Fire Services. I have also been employed as a counsellor in Higher Education. I have provided short term therapy for IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapy) working in partnership with GP surgeries.

More recently I have worked with uniform services raising awareness about mental health issues in the workplace. I am aware of the challenges when working in such roles and the impact of witnessing traumatic incidents/events stress and anxiety plus organisational issues/constraints.

I also work with Breast Cancer Care supporting groups of women living with a secondary diagnosis www.breastcancernow.org.uk. I have a vast amount of insight and knowledge in relation to the diagnoses of cancer and the physical and psychological impact this.

I have also had a personal diagnosis of breast cancer and this was successfully treated. This experience had given me a deeper understanding of the personal and physical challenges that this diagnoses can bring although each journey is unique.

I also undertake regular supervision with a UKCP accredited Supervisor to ensure that best practice can be adhered to in all of my therapeutic work.

How I can help?

I am deeply committed to the work we undertake together and offer a safe confidential space for you to voice your concerns, fears and needs in life. In a constantly changing world, with often ever increasing demands, it is becoming more and more common for people to feel both lost and overwhelmed.

I believe that counselling is a personal investment in your present and future potential, one which enables you press pause, and step away from the pressures of life. Having the the time and space solely for you, and in partnership with me, we can find more healthy solutions and navigate a clearer pathway increasing your ability to live life more fully. These pressures may include daunting work demands, anxiety, bereavement, painful relationship dynamics, bereavement, divorce, separation and stress.

I offer warmth, compassion, hope, guidance and heightened awareness to allow you to feel more able to manage life's challenges with new coping strategies.

I feel privileged to be part of the counselling profession, and would feel honoured to accompany you on your own personal voyage of self-discovery.
