About me

I am a Reading based therapist with almost 20 years' experience. I am a senior accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by the BACP's Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I follow the psychodynamic approach. This involves us working together to uncover the less conscious aspects of your thoughts, feelings and emotions, so that you can come to understand yourself more fully. This greater insight should help you to make long-lasting changes so that you can lead a more fulfilled life.

I will provide you with a safe and confidential space to reflect on your emotional difficulties, uncover patterns of behaviour, address difficult feelings and move forward into meaningful change.

I have worked in the NHS for over 7 years in GP practices. I was Clinical Lead of a large Henley-based counselling service for over 10 years and I am currently Clinical Lead of a well establised South Buckinghamshire Counselling Service. I am an APPCIOS registered Psychodynamic Organisational Therapist. I am also a clinical supervisor for Nexus NI and Victim Support.

I have experience of working with a wide range of emotional difficulties, especially anxiety and depression. I work from a comfortable, ground floor therapy room which has plenty of nearby street parking in Caversham, Reading.
