About me

Prior to training as a counsellor, I worked as a personnel manager and trainer and have run my own businesses. I therefore understand the pressures that clients may have in the business world, and how difficult it can sometimes be to juggle family life and work commitments.

I have considerable experience working with children and young people. I have worked in a school setting with Place2be, the children’s counselling organisation, and currently work for a family mediation service, counselling children, young people and parents who are struggling with divorce or separation and related issues, such as adjusting to new step-families, and access to parents and grandparents.

Bereavement counselling is another area that I work in, supporting people of all ages who are struggling to come to terms with the loss of a loved one.

I am also a qualified counselling supervisor.
