About me

After graduating in Medicine from the University of London in 1996, Dr James Hickey trained in internal medicine, becoming a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2000. His Dermatology training was undertaken at a number of specialist sites including St Johns Institute of Dermatology and the Bristol Royal Infirmary. He joined the Specialist Register in 2010 and has worked as an NHS Consultant at both the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals and Salisbury District Hospital. He is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists.
Dr Hickey specialises in skin cancer and has considerable expertise in mole checks, benign lesion removal and skin cancer surgery. His other area of interest is the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory skin conditions, such as acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Dr Hickey provides a thorough and personal service, tailored to meet the needs of every patient. He aims to provide a clear diagnosis and treatment plan to each patient.
