About me

Background:

Born in Dublin, Ireland, Moved to the UK. Ex Royal Navy (Submarine Service), then Managing Director of public company. I believe I have a comprehensive understanding of stress.

We pretty much all at some time in our lives become mentally stuck upon an issue/event/person. It’s my role to help those to become unstuck, and I’ve achieved this in excess of 13,000 times in one-on-one sessions, to-date.

I’m direct and forward thinking, working collaboratively with clients towards agreed goals. In practicing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR), I seek to bring long term understanding and change upon my client’s issues.

I have gone on to receive specialist training in neurodiversity and in particular ADHD/ADD, with the United Kingdom Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN) via Kings College University. Not only am I trained to screen people for ADHD/ADD, I have gone on to further train and qualify to perform the more in-depth gold standard assessment using a DIVA-5, psychological assessment for ADHD/ADD, with UKAAN. Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is another neurodivergent area of specialist knowledge and screening for me.

In the advancement of best practices to support on-going diagnosis for ADHD/ADD, I have invested in further training as a licensed healthcare professional with QB Check. The QB test is a scientific diagnostic computer based screening tool, which provides objective information to aid in the assessment of ADD/ADHD

In private practice for over 10yrs, I believe I possess experience, maturity and positive outcome performance in working with clients.

Working from my offices in Chester, Canary Wharf and also in the City of London, I provide every local access for clients in what is one of the most stressful environments in the world.

Furthermore, I’m accredited with: AVIVA, AXA Health, BUPA, Simply Health, Cigna, Vitality and Pru Health.
